Adrian Ward BBus(Sustainability), Associate Consultant
Adrian
Ward began his professional career in the carbon / sustainability space
while studying a Bachelor of Business in Sustainable Enterprise
Management at the University of Queensland. During this time he took up
a role in guiding the university’s business sustainability and carbon
related courses, and, developing a collaborative partnership program
with industry. Adrian also acted as a tutor and assistant lecturer in
“Environmental Markets & Emissions Trading” and currently maintains
a seat on the executive board of UQ SMART program, and, the Australian
Institute of Sustainable Enterprise Management (AISEM).
Adrian
has engaged in carbon & sustainability consultancy on a local,
national and international level. He has played a lead role in
coordinating numerous teams to measure and report greenhouse gas
emissions, assess environmental management systems, and, develop
climate change strategy with respect to Australian and International
standards, such as: NGA Factors (NGERS), the GHG protocol, ISO14064,
ISO19011 and ISO14001. Adrian’s keen interest in cleantech start-ups
(mostly energy) has led him to work on a number of related projects to
deliver climate change related research and strategic recommendations.
He also maintains a high-level of interest in the Kyoto Protocol’s
Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) market where he has had experience
developing Project Design Documents (PDD).

Management
Consultants play a crucial role in the development of Australian
organisations. By providing advice and assistance, consultants aid
industry in determining and achieving their objectives.
The
Institute of Management Consultants (IMC) is the professional body
representing management consultants in Australia. The Institute's
mission is to represent and promote the management consulting
profession, set and maintain internationally recognised standards and
develop members.
The Institute is the awarding body of the
Certified Management Consultant (CMC) designation. CMC is the mark of
competency for the management consulting profession and indicates that
a management consultant meets certain requirements of character,
education and experience. The CMC designation is recognised
internationally.
Code of Professional Conduct
The
Institute of Management Consultants Code of Professional Conduct
requires that all members maintain the high standards of ethical
conduct expected of all professional persons. Thus, any member of The
Institute will be subject to disciplinary proceedings if their behavior
brings discredit to the Management Consulting profession or The
Institute. Members must act with integrity which is defined as -
moral and ethical soundness; fairness; equity; ability to distinguish
between right and wrong; honesty; dependability; freedom from
corrupting influence or practice; strictness in the fulfillment of both
the letter and the spirit of agreements made - regardless of personal
consideration.
Members will refrain from and discourage public or personal criticism
of another member's work, recognizing that The Institute provides means
for adequate discussion and constructive criticism within the
profession.
